MCA Lateral Entry Eligibility & Entrance Exams

Candidates seeing lateral entry admission in MCA must note that the course duration for these candidates will be two years. The eligibility criteria for MCA admission 2020 through lateral entry mode can be checked below:-

  • Rule 1– The candidate must have a regular BCA degree with a minimum of 50% marks.
  • Rule 2– Candidates who have passed B.Sc in Computer Science and B.Sc in Information Technology (IT) are eligible for direct 2nd-year admission in MCA.
  • Rule 3– Candidates who have passed B.Sc IT/ CS must note that he/ she must have studied Mathematics as one of the subjects in Class 12th.
  • Rule 4– Candidates who have passed B.Sc IT/ CS in Distance Mode are not eligible for Lateral Entry MCA admissions.
